How can Journaling boost out productivity?
HEYYYY
ARTICLE NUMBER 30!
Thank you all for reading my articles, it’s nice to know that there is a group of people that enjoy this little project of mine ;)
Anyways, this week’s article will be about… Journaling! I really think you’re going to like this one…
Enjoy ;)

Reading time🕰️: 2:00 minutes
1 MINUTE CHALLENGE: Write a short paragraph on your day so far(i.e. any events, activities etc. that you’ve done today)
Your Weekly Challenge:
REMINDER: You don’t have to do the challenge! See it as an idea on how to spend your week more productively.
Get to know yourself better. Before starting this week, grab yourself a piece of paper\digital document and make sure it’s readily available to you. Commit to writing down on this paper\document every time you’ve learnt something new about life\yourself(e.g. I procrastinate also at school).
Your Weekly Inspirational Story:
”I treat journaling like cleaning a clogged pipe (the brain).
You gotta flush out all those junk before you can access the clean water.
When my brain is full of racing thoughts, I'd feel overwhelmed and super anxious.
Which often leads to procrastination.
Journaling has helped me in this aspect, gain clarity and understand myself better.
Personally, handwriting is more effective, so I use a notebook and pen (not pencil!) for when I feel extra overwhelmed or have big issues to work out.
I'll type in a diary app for my daily journaling exercise.
You can start with those issues you've mentioned.
I use questions as thinking prompts.
"What am I avoiding doing?" "Why?" "How can I make this task feel less scary or easier to do?" or "I feel [sad/happy/anxious] lately. Why?"
I try not to filter my words and just write whatever I think.
For my daily journaling, I write about anything that happened on the day and things I did. Then I ask myself what I can do to make tomorrow better.
Journaling is not just one magical activity that will solve all your life problems, but it has definitely helped me be less anxious.
Being able to read what you wrote also helps give you (literally) an outside perspective to evaluate them.
Also, because I am able to look back at the things I wrote, I can spot patterns of thoughts and pinpoint issues that keep recurring in my life.”
!!!- I advise you to write the answers down on paper, as they help you figure out stuff about yourself, which you might find useful later on!
Reflective-thinking question:
Have you ever tried doing journaling in your own life? Did it work for you? Why or why not?
Critical-thinking questions:
Do you believe that having a clear mind would help you reduce your procrastination? Why or why not?
Your Weekly ‘Food For Thought’ question
What helps you declutter your mind?
