Your Weekly Inspirational Story:

“It was an unbelievably fun time. And I wouldn’t replace it for the world.

But at twenty-two years of age, the band broke up, and my lack of skillset really came into focus.

My CV looked like I had spent the first four years out of high school doing nothing. I was unemployed, and un-employable.

So I did what any former amateur rockstar would do – I re-sat my end of high school tests, studied my ass off, and smashed the result.

I enrolled in uni and studied a subject that couldn’t be any further from my life to date – accounting.

Accounting is like eating cheese sandwiches every day for lunch. You know the ones. Butter bread and all.

But I did it. I studied, I started working in taxation, I graduated, and after five years –

I bailed from Australia and took off for six months around the world where I spent most of my time in South America.”
